Industry Experts Discuss Everything from New Talent Management Strategies and Tools to Entertaining HR Experiences.
SumTotal® Systems, LLC, the largest independent provider of learning and HR solutions, today announced SumTotal HR Hangouts, a series of live, virtual events that will feature hip thought leaders and HR practitioners from Fistful of Talent. Starting on Aug. 13, these 20-minute conversations will run weekly and cover topics such as HR’s role in business strategy, how to drive employee engagement, and Fistful of Talent’s favorite productivity tools. To register for these upcoming events, visit www.sumtotalsystems.com/hrhangout.
“The pace of change affecting today’s workforce requires employees to be more flexible, creative and innovative than in the past,” said SumTotal Senior Vice President of Marketing Jackie Funk. “We are thrilled to partner with Fistful of Talent to offer this live Google Hangout series, where industry leaders and HR practitioners will highlight best practices and lessons learned in an engaging and interactive forum.”
The SumTotal HR Hangout series will kick off in August with the following events:
8/13 DNA of Great HR Pros: Join this session to gain tips to help leaders identify the most important qualities to look for in your next key hire.
8/20 HR: Confidential: Attend this session to hear some of Fistful of Talent’s craziest HR stories and experiences and how they were handled.
8/27 A Few of Our Favorite Things: Join this session to hear the team share some of their favorite apps, sites and productivity tools.
The live SumTotal HR Hangouts will begin at 2 p.m. EDT. Recordings will be available to registrants after each event.
The hangouts will feature several members from the Fistful of Talent team. Fistful of Talent is a consortium of progressive industry thinkers “without all the boring HR stuff like legal issues and employee relations tactics.” Contributors include Kris Dunn, Tim Sackett, Steve Boese, Laurie Ruettimann, Kathy Rapp, Paul Hebert, William Tincup and Dawn Burke, each of whom bring a fresh perspective on the HR industry.
“There’s nothing more entertaining than HR people getting together and sharing war stories. At Fistful of Talent, we love doing this every couple of weeks via long, uncensored email chains across our team of writers, featuring about 150 ‘reply to all’ emails. Those email chains are epic,” Fistful of Talent editor Kris Dunn said. “We’re excited that SumTotal is bringing this concept to an interactive, virtual hangout, and we invite other HR professionals to join in on the fun.”
